Aside from the obvious players (Aguero, Sanchez et al), here's my initial thoughts on players worth a punt for the upcoming season. These are just initial thoughts - I'll got into further detail in futute posts.
Jordon Ibe (Liverpool) 5.0m
Has a good preseason and scored a cracker vs Malaysia. He's going to be a star very soon - like a robust Sterling but better at finishing. He's a risk because he's not a guaranteed starter, but mark my words he'll be a big player soon.
Memphis Depay (Man Utd) 8.5m
Dutch set piece wizard was well coveted across Europe, but Van Gaal's influence probably tipped the scales for a move to Man U. Untested in the Premier League, and not guaranteed to start (probably, not guaranteed) but will score points.
Troy Deeney (Watford) 5.5m
Experienced centre forward scored a ton of goals for Watford last season and is there main man up front. The signings Watford have made are unlikely going to vie for his place. When Watford score he won't be far away.
Maarten Stekelenburg (Southampton) 5.0m
Experienced Dutch goalkeeper will go in behind a well drilled Southampton defence. Will get clean sheets - but just wondering whether he'll be benched when Forster is fit again. Worth putting in at the start at least.
Bradley Johnson (Norwich) 5.5m
Already played in the Premier League with Norwich last time, he's coming back with excellent goal scoring form. Plays an advanced role in midfield and knows how to poach goals.
Aaron Cresswell (West Ham) 5.5m
With Slavan Bilic's defensive expertise and Cresswell's attacking prowess, he could be worth a selection. £5.5 is a little pricey but could bear fruit.
Nathaniel Clyne (Liverpool) 5.5m
Clyne was a solid right back for Southampton last season, both defensively and attacking. With Glen Johnson leaving, he's a sure starter for the Reds who will most likely do better this season.
